No Man is an Island...

A few days ago I had the chance to watch again About a Boy.

This could be an absolutely inconsequential ocurrence if not for the fact that I made a mental match with a few ideas. If you know me you're used to it, if you don't, well... it's complicated. I tend to make word associations all the time and sometimes this engenders complete new ideas and thoughts.

Anyway. A few days ago, during a conversation with a friend, he brought out the subject of my living isolated. And I guess it is true. I am a very private person, though I had never given much tought to the matter, so that has never bothered me. Even now, after being confronted with that notion, I haveto say that it doesn't bother me at all.

Then, when I was re-reading the welcome post to this blog, a new thought made click in my head. And I thought it was funny enough to post about it.

"No man is an island", they say to Will in the movie. "I am fucking Ibiza", Will lashes back.

So, even when I choose my nickname a few years back after a sword from an old tv show, the fact is that Albion is most widely known as the celtic name for Britain, which is, of course, an island.

So, what the hell, I am fucking Albion.
